Start with the task
Booking an appointment, buying a product and preparing a report need different journeys. We first identify what the user needs to achieve and where the current experience gets in the way.
Agree the flow before the finish
For an existing product, we review key tasks step by step. For a new product, we begin with a screen map and wireframes before refining the visual design.
Deliverables may include
- User journeys and a screen map
- Mobile and desktop interface designs
- Typography, colour, spacing and component rules
- Error, empty and loading states
- Design files prepared for developer handover
Cover everyday details
Keyboard navigation, lengthy content and clear validation belong in the design process. We consider realistic conditions rather than only ideal sample data.
Separate design and development
Your proposal distinguishes interface design from implementation. Research sessions or usability testing are planned separately, with agreed methods and participants.
